Novelist Joe Sutton

Joe Sutton reads excerpts from his novel "Morning Pages" and his new short story collection "The Immortal Mouth." Discussion will follow. Joe Sutton grew up in Hollywood, went to Fairfax High, and received a football scholarship to the University of Oregon. He sat on the bench most of the time, but graduated with a degree in philosophy. Joe taught history at Fremont High in South-Central L.A. before he decided he wanted to be a writer. Joe has been writing since 1970. He has taught in the public schools of Portland and San Francisco to support his writing habit and his family. He even sold costume jewelry for four years. Joe and his wife Joan live in San Francisco.
