Local author Gerald Rosen will give a talk titled "How I Became A
Novelist." Rosen is the author of 5 novels including The Carmen
Miranda Memorial Flagpole, ("A terrific book... an exceptional novel" -
N Y Times) and the autobiographical Growing Up Bronx ('A happy
blend of Tom Robbins, Joseph Heller, Mark Twain and Ken Kesey... A
Master of Comedy" - Berkeley Barb). He also wrote the ground-breaking
non-fiction work, Zen in the Art of J. D. Salinger.

Judith and Ramon Sender present a program of poetry, art, & music.
Judith will read from her book, Lines, Whimsical and Other Wise
accompanied by harpist/accordionist. Ramon Sender. He also will perform
an I Ching "Song of the Moment," offer the audience a chance to
consult the amazing cut-up oracle 'Shady,' and read from his
essay-in-progress Why Is The Buddha Smiling? The Answer is On The Tip of
Your Tongue.
